Episode 3: Money Shot

The Shield

Upon being sprung from jail, Ellis Rezian wants Shane to hijack some confiscated weapons before they can be destroyed. While Shane is certain it will bring an end to Rezian's quest for revenge, Vic worries about the guns ultimate destination. Yet, after discovering that Aceveda has taken the files they are using to blackmail Pezuela, Vic decides to play along with the scheme and, commandeering a drug dealer's SUV, hides Shane inside before having it towed to the impound facility where the guns are being kept. Meanwhile, Danny and Dutch investigate a high school girl's report of the kidnapping of her best friend, Wan Lee. But while Wan's mother says that she is fine and even produces her for everyone to see, Danny gets her to admit she was raped.

When porn filmmaker Axl reports fingers a potential investor for dealing cocaine, Claudette sends Julian and Tina undercover. Snared in their trap, Larry agrees to give up his supplier, Demetrius Harms. Unbeknownst to Shane, Vic is using the confiscated weapons in a complex gambit aimed at crippling the Armenian mob. But as Shane readies to steal the guns, Vis is sidetracked when Corrine is arrested after Cassidy is caught drinking. But once Vic shakes loose, Shane and the Armenians are surprised when Olivia Murray's federal task force swoops in just as the weapons are being delivered. Meanwhile, as Axl tips off Harms to his impending arrest, Billings tracks down the house where Wan was held.

While Rezian is led to believe that Vic rescued him from a careless henchman's mistake, the man arrested for the kidnapping reveals that Wan was brought to him by her older brother so she could be raped by a pair of young men in order to "cure" her of her lesbianism. Finally, as Shane looks to regain Vic's trust by turning over the list of Strike Team crimes he's been holding over his head, Dutch arrests Wan's brother. But when her girlfriend comes to see her, Wan coldly insists that she be left alone. And as Ronnie warns against trusting Shane, Vic insists he will take care of him once he's destroyed both the Armenians and Pezuela.
