Vital statistics: Aged 58, height 5'11, loves West Sussex
Type of farm: I part-own an arable and vegetable farm, and we also farm soft fruit. It's a smashing situation.
Relationship status: I'm currently single although I do have four grown up kids aged between 20-29.
Living arrangements: I live on my own – my daughter lives in the annexe in the converted barn across the yard.
Drink / smoke: Yes, I am partial to the odd pint of lager – but no, I don't smoke – I quit smoking some years ago, and let's face it, reformed smokers are the most militant of the lot when it comes to smoking.
Pets: I have two dogs, a lovely pair of black Labradors – they mean a lot to me, as you can tell from what I've put above about what I've got in common with them.
Likes/hobbies: Quite a diverse range of interests – dancing being the foremost – I love dancing, especially ballroom and modern jive. I also enjoy tennis, and recently took a course in giving Indian Head massages, I like to think of myself as being a farmer with quite an holistic approach.
Dislikes: I am a bit anti-smoking – as mentioned above, no one's more anti smoking than an ex-smoker, such as myself.
What life's like on my farm? Life on the farm is very therapeutic and very rewarding – it is hard work, but this is always offset by the pleasure of the work itself. I really enjoy my work. This is an 112 acre horticultural and agricultural unit, and we do a lot of things here in the arable farming sens
